So, I thought it might be interesting to blog on the parties here at Columbia.
Just, I haven't been to one yet. You might be wondering, well why, Kevin, why haven't you been to a party?
I just feel like I don't want to get drunk and I don't need to get drunk to have fun. Having fun in other ways where you're not drunk I think is so much more fulfilling.
For example, today, I went out with a great friend to go get some late night pie. It was a great experience, and we really learned a lot about each other and talked about deep things like faith, life, and friends.
I mean, sure, you don't need to get drunk at a party. But, for now, I'm taking it a bit slower. There's so much more to explore both at Columbia and New York. I think I can do without partying for a little longer.
Anyway, today, we went to the Guggenheim, free because of Columbia's great Arts Initiative. It was pretty awesome--I've never enjoyed modern art before, but today, I gained a new appreciation for it. It was pretty awesome.
And there are some pretty cute girls on campus...just saying... :)
you don't have to get drunk to party! well at least you have an open mind. but yeah new york's the one place where there's no need to party with all the crazy stuff you can do. keep having fun!
ReplyDeleteagain, skype me when you do get drunk. XD
ReplyDeletebut really, partying like that is quite stupid in my opinion. what's so great about getting a hangover and being loopy the next day during class?
and good luck scoring those cute girls, or at least one of them. ;)
AHHH. I LOVE COLUMBIA. hahaha. and i love you mr lee! MAJOR HIGH FIVE FOR SAYING WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT DRUNKENNESS. the world needs more people with that outlook. i hate how people look at me and think cuz i dont drink and i dont swear, i'm so boring weaksauce goody two shoes. a late night of pie and sharing life's dreams is sooo much cooler and strongsauce than beer bongs. sheesh. i'm hoping that when i go to college, i don't go to any alcohol involving parties. but that may be too high a goal? haha. did you get those ladees' numbas?? holla new yawk! cuz kevin lee is struttin' those streets. i just thought i'd say that for you. wow this was a long comment.
ReplyDeleteps. look for leena mahan. she's a cellist and she's nice and amazing and fabulous. she's also short, brunette and now a sophomore at columbia. so yeah. i also know a fellow blogger (laundryonsundaes.wordpress.com) but she's taken so don't get any thoughts on that.
anyway, god bless!
oh yo. by the way, is somebody taking over EPCO? keep me in the know about that! :)
